Grandparenting Seminar Opportunities

We have several events tailored to help your church strengthen its Grandparenting Ministry and support grandparents. Get in touch with us to find out more about these events and how we can assist you in bringing them to your church today.

Intentional Grandparenting

There’s a new movement, in the church world, calling Grandparents to a purposeful, meaningful, family ministry that can leave a legacy…a heritage…with consequential eternal results! Get on board!

The Intentional Grandparenting Conference is a regional conference for today’s Christian grandparents who want to be inspired and equipped to pass on their faith and disciple their grandchildren. Elmer Towns says, “Use the ‘rest of your life’ to give the ‘best of your life!” This conference will equip and encourage today’s active grandparents to stay connected and involved with their grandchildren in positive and powerful ways. Through nationally known speakers, breakout workshops and an extensive resource center you’ll find encouragement, teaching, and inspiration.

GrandCamp

Grand Camp, a ministry of Christian Grandparenting Network, is an amazing faith adventure designed to transport grandparents and their school-age grandchildren away from the distractions of everyday life to a place where God can do a powerful work, building a legacy of faith generation to generation.

Watch this video how grandfathers get to know the hearts of their grandchildren, and grandchildren get to know the hearts of their grandfathers.

Nuts and Bolts of Godly Grandparenting

As grandparents, many of us have bought into the cultural lie that we are inconsequential in the lives of our children and grandchildren. This lie suggests we either retire to leisureville, having nothing to do with our grandchildren; or become overindulgent fun factories; providing our grandchildren with expensive presents, fancy trips and sugary treats. Nothing, however, is further from the Truth.

Join Sherry Schumann as she digs into Scripture and uncovers what the Bible says about our role as grandparents. Discover what it means to leave a Gospel-shaped legacy in a post-Christian culture. Learn practical ways to share your faith stories with your grandchildren, offer them the gift of the spoken blessing, and commit yourselves as prayer warriors interceding regularly on your grandchildren’s behalf.

This conference can be customized to fit your time frame.

Unleashing the Power of Prayer

Scripture tells us, “The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective” (James 5:16). Why, then, do so many believers feel as though their prayers are powerless and ineffective?

Join Sherry Schumann for a one-or-two-day retreat as she digs into God’s Word and examines ways to step up our prayer life, thereby unleashing the power or prayer. This retreat features six 45-minute sessions, which include the following topics:

  • Intimacy with the Savior,
  • Intimacy with the Holy Spirit,
  • Hindrances to Our Approach to Prayer,
  • Hindrances to the Work of Prayer,
    Intercessory Prayer and
  • Prayers of Thanksgiving and Adoration.

This retreat can be customized to fit your time frame.

Courageous Grandparenting

Sponsored by Family Builders Ministries in partnership with ElderQuest Ministries

The sessions of the Courageous Grandparenting Seminar are built around Scriptural teaching related to grandparenting embodied in Three Biblical Roles…

  • Gatekkeeper
  • Story Teller
  • Blessing Giver

Each session is creatively presented to help grandparents flesh out what it means to be courageously intentional in how we live for Christ and how we teach our grandchildren to live for Christ in today’s world. Here are the titles of the five sessions we use:

  • Wake Up! Who’s Problem Is It?
  • Wise Up! The Issachar Factor
  • Own Up! An Ordained Partnership (Adult Children)
  • Speak Up! Unleashing the Power of Spoken Blessing
  • Live Up! A Legacy Worth Outliving You
  • Size Up! Untangling the Technology Web

Shepherding Our Grandchildren According to the Twenty-third Psalm

David, the Shepherd-King, penned the twenty-third psalm approximately 1000 years before our Savior’s birth. Despite its age, this beloved psalm is as pertinent and timely today as it was 3000 years ago.

Join Sherry Schumann for this one-or-two-day conference as she digs into Psalm 23, verse-by-verse. Look at King David’s words through a shepherd’s eyes. Learn about the work of a shepherd, the characteristics of sheep, the unique relationship between a shepherd and his sheep, and how this relationship serves as a metaphor for our own relationship with God. Carry this metaphor one-step further and discover godly ways to shepherd your grandchildren and lead them to Christ.

This conference can be customized to fit your time frame.
