The Grandmother Gathering

A weekend away to regroup, revitalize, and refresh for all grandmothers.

Alton Bay Christian Conference Center

Alton Bay, New Hampshire

Topics

  • Grandparenting in Every Season
Whether your grandchildren live far away, just across town, or under your roof — God has a purpose for your influence. Together we’ll explore how to nurture faith and connection from any distance or circumstance.
  • When “Helping” Becomes “Too Much”
Many grandmothers find themselves asked to do more than they can handle. We’ll talk about setting loving, grace-filled boundaries while keeping relationships strong and Christ-centered.
  • When Faith Conversations Are Unwelcome
What do we do when our adult children ask us not to talk about the Lord with our grandchildren? We’ll share gentle and creative ways to live out and model faith even when words aren’t welcome.
  • Healing When You’ve Been Labeled “Toxic”
Some of us face the heartbreak of being misunderstood or cut off from our grandchildren. We’ll talk about finding peace in Christ, keeping a soft heart, and praying through painful family dynamics.
  • Sharing Jesus in Everyday Moments
Learn specific, practical ideas for weaving faith naturally into life with your grands — through stories, traditions, play, and conversation.
  • Praying Scripture Over Our Grandchildren
Discover how to pray God’s Word for your grandchildren, how to intercede with love in difficult situations, and how to speak blessings that leave a lasting spiritual legacy.
  • When Energy Runs Low
Grandmothering can be joyful — and exhausting. We’ll offer encouragement and practical ways to keep your heart full and your spirit refreshed, even in seasons of fatigue.
  • Encouraging Grandpa’s Heart
Sometimes Grandpa isn’t sure where he fits in. We’ll explore gentle ways to draw him in, inspire his engagement, and help him see the eternal impact of his role.
  • Guiding with Grace When Asked for Advice
When your adult children turn to you for parenting advice, how can you respond in ways that strengthen both the relationship and the conversation? Learn how to offer wisdom with humility, love, and respect.
